Greenville Engagement - Jess + Josh
Some engagement sessions just instantly feel like hanging out with old friends — and that was exactly the case with Jess + Josh’s colorful engagement session in downtown Greenville, South Carolina.
Before we even started taking photos, this session already felt personal to me because Jess was actually one of the first people I met after moving to Greenville from San Antonio. We met at Southernside Brewing near Unity Park, and it’s funny how full-circle it feels getting to now document this season of life for her and Josh.
From the start, these two brought so much energy into the session in the best way possible. Nothing felt overly posed or forced. They showed up fully themselves — playful, relaxed, creative, and completely comfortable together. Those are always the sessions that create the most meaningful images.
As a Greenville wedding photographer, these are the kinds of engagement sessions I love most — sessions that feel less like a photoshoot and more like documenting a real memory together.
One of the biggest things I encourage couples to do during engagement sessions is lean into personality over perfection. Wear something that feels like you. Choose locations that actually reflect your relationship. Don’t worry about being “good” in front of the camera. The goal is creating images that feel honest and emotionally connected, not stiff or overly curated.
These two made documenting their relationship ridiculously easy, and I already know their wedding day is going to be something special.
If you’re looking for a Greenville engagement photographer or planning a creative wedding in Greenville, South Carolina (or honestly anywhere beyond), I’d love to help create something that feels true to you and your story.
